Rosedale Lodge was chartered in 1891 within the Rosedale neighborhood of Kansas City, KS and originally met above the Strasser Hardware Building on Southwest Blvd. The black and white checkered bricks with arches and columns are still standing today. After the boom of post-war men becoming masons, Rosedale moved farther out and built a new building specifically for masonry in 1971. That location and building are where we still meet today in Merriam, KS.
Our brothers still maintain the sense of fellowship, hard work and fraternal ties that have brought so many into the craft over the years.
Rosedale Lodge is chartered and does business as a lodge under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Kansas. All lodges in the state operate under a Grand Lodge, with Kansas' being older than the state itself.
Our Grand Lodge sets the constitution and by-laws which govern our jurisdiction and while there are Grand Lodge Officers and committees, the "Grand Lodge" is every Kansas Mason as every aspect of Freemasonry is a democratic election of the members. We are all on the level.

The Kansas Masonic Foundation, or KMF, is the charitable arm of Kansas Masonry. While other community-based clubs promote events to raise money for charity, the Masons primarily donate funds directly from their members without any outside solicitation to the public. Kansas Masons, through the Kansas Masonic Foundation, have provided more than $60 million to charitable endeavors over the years.
